Echo is the World First Guild to down Fyrakk in WoW’s Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope Raid.

  • Echo downed Fyrakk the Blazing after 344 attempts, beating Team Liquid by 0.66%.
  • The World First Race for Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope ended after 13 days since the launch of Patch 10.2.
  • Team Liquid came in second place around 7 hours later with their 464th pull earning them the kill.

The race for the World First Kill in Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope is finally over with Echo’s Guild earning the victory. They downed Fyrakk the Blazing on November 26th at 18:22 PM EST. Their kill took them 344 attempts as they showed down with Team Liquid in a very close race. In the final hours of the race when Echo killed Fyrakk, Team Liquid themselves were at .66% on their own attempts.

A Close World First Race

The Amirdrassil World First Race showcased just how important the final kill on the end boss, Fyrakk the Blazing, was to the top guilds. Both Liquid and Echo didn’t even enter the Mythic Raid until later in the week once the raid originally dropped on November 14th. Chinese guild Blue Shoes claimed the first Mythic kill on Gnarlroot. But it was another guild, Instant Dollars, who claimed the next five bosses of Mythic Amirdrassil.

Once Team Liquid and Echo stepped into the arena they surpassed the rest of the guilds trying to progress very quickly. Smolderon would fall first to Team Liquid with only 56 pulls and then to Echo with 53 pulls. Method came in third as expected with 79 pulls.

Where the race really started to slow down and become a game of mere % 's was with Tindral Swiftsage, who some players are saying may be one of the most difficult penultimate raid bosses to date in World of Warcraft, let alone in Dragonflight.

When Liquid finally downed Tindral Sageswift, they were nearly 17 hours ahead of Echo’s kill. But it’s important to note that Team Liquid is a North American Guild and Echo is based on Europe. Despite Liquid having a huge time lead on Echo, they defeated every boss in less attempts than Team Liquid did.

With Tindral Sageswift downed by both Echo and Team Liquid on November 22nd, the final leg of the race to World First started the day before Thanksgiving. The two guilds exchanged places in the lead with Echo finally nailing the kill on November 26th at 18:22 PM.

Heartbreakingly for Team Liquid, they were at only .66% on their own attempt and would go on to take another 6+ hours before downing Fyrakk the Blazing. Despite Team Echo trailing Liquid for most of the race, they had less overall attempts on nearly every boss.
