Several new features of coming to the Dragon Isles in Seeds of Renewal, the 10.2.5 patch for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. This will be the final major content patch of the expansion before the War Within launches later this year. The Azerothian Archives promises to help players uncover the history of the Dragon Isles while introducing them to a new, unique cast of characters. The Azerothian Archives will be available for players when Seeds of Renewal launches on January 16th.
To The Archives!
When Seeds of Renewal releases players can head to the Roasted Ram Inn to grab the quest, “To The Archives!” which will lead them to the Algeth’ar Academy Inn Thaldraszus to begin their quest for knowledge. It’s here that players will meet with the Lead Archivist, Eadweard Dalyngrigge, and a team of archaeologists and archivists at Traitor’s Rest.
Excavation
One aspect of the Azerothian Archives feature is excavation, which players will learn more about when they visit Geo-Archaeologist Roska Rocktooth. She’ll give players an elemental assistant specific to every site they visit to help find whatever treasures lay beneath the ground.
Technoscrying
After every dig players will need to take their items to Techno-Archaeologist Zenata to reveal scenes from the past. Use a special set of goggles called Technoscryers to help locate specific items and directional pings to take you to the correct location.
Research
You can’t have an archive without doing proper research and the Azerothian Archives are no different. With the help of Codicological Archaeologist Nirobin and his arcane assistants, players can collect related information from different sites containing ancient relics.
Rewards
There are events within the Azerothian Archives that are made for both solo play and groups, offering bigger challenges and greater rewards in the forms of mounts, transmog, and reputation. The rewards include:
- Clayscale Hornstrider Mount
- Explorer’s Stonehide Packbeast Mount
- Historian’s Transmog Items
