The Best Transmog Tier Sets in World of Warcraft
Best Transmog Tier Sets in World of Warcraft and Where To Find Them
- Once players obtain a piece of gear in World of Warcraft, it unlocks the appearance across all of their characters to use when transmogging armor.
- Tier Sets in World of Warcraft are class-specific armor designs but often have color variants that have no class-specific requirement beyond armor type.
- Some Tier Sets, such as the Skyshatter Regalia, have made comebacks later in WoW’s raid history with more intricate designs.
In World of Warcraft, just like any other MMO, looking your best is just as important as playing your best. No one wants to be known as xLegolasx the Burning Savior but look like a clown. You need the best gear and the best transmog gear. But nowadays, the Tier sets of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight just don’t hit the same way Tier Sets of earlier expansions did.
Top 10 Rarest Mounts in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight
So if you want to impress your raid and guildmates, here are some iconic looks for each armor type you can go out and pick up today. There are some of the best Transmog Tier Sets in World of Warcraft and exactly where you can find them.
Absolution Regalia (Cloth) Transmog Set
The Absolution Regalia (recolor) is a mostly white version of the Priest Tier 6 armor from the Black Temple. It is hands down one of the best armor sets that Priest ever got. The hood obscures the face and gives off a glow coming from behind the hood and shoulders that almost mimics a halo effect.
The shoulder pieces themselves feature a woman’s face, blindfolded to represent justice being blind. The original Priest set is dark blues and blacks, so the stark contrast of this recolor stands out. All pieces of this transmog set drop from within bosses in the Black Temple.
Corruptor Raiment (Cloth) Transmog Set
If you’re playing a Cloth-class like Priest, Mage or Warlock, maybe you want an aesthetic that’s a bit on the darker side? Tier 6 Black Temple has you covered as well, which means you can farm both of these Transmog sets at the same time.
The Corruptor Raiment was the Warlock Tier Set and it’s one of the best ones, even to this day. It’s dark, it’s brooding and it has little skulls impaled on the shoulder spikes. Warlocks everywhere should have this in their closet and thanks to the recolor, Priests and Mages can too. It has four pieces and drops from bosses in the Black Temple.
Bloodfang Armor (Leather) Transmog Set
For the leather wearers out there, Rogues, Druids, Demon Hunters and Monks, there are some really great sets to collect. One of the most iconic comes from the earliest days of World of Warcraft in the Rogue Tier 2 armor set, the Bloodfang Armor.
It channels all the vibes you want to be dark, mysterious, lurking in the shadows and deadly. The original red and black is by far the best, but only rogues get access to that. There are two recolors, however, in black and blue and brown and black.
Rogues can pick up pieces of the Bloodfang armor in Blackwing Lair, Molten Core and Onyxia’s Lair. But anyone looking for the recolors will have to visit Outlands in the Burning Crusade grabbing the blue recolor from 5-man dungeon content and the brown from various raids such as Karazahn, Gruul’s Lair and Serpentshrine Cavern.
Garb of the Astral Warden (Leather) Transmog Set
If you’re going for something a bit more arcane, mystical or even nature-centric, this Druid Tier 19 set. Druid and Hunter have a lot of great gear that evoke the sense of nature, but the Garb of the Astral Warden really stands out.
In order to collect this armor set for non-druids, you’ll have to do a bit of leg work. The most gorgeous piece in the set comes from a reputation vendor, which means you’ll need to grind up rep for Dreamweavers. You can also find it on the Auction House as a world drop.
Finally, the rest of the pieces are scattered between the Night Hold and Emerald Nightmare raids in the Legion expansion.
Skyshatter Regalia (Mail) Transmog Set
The Shaman Tier 6 Raid Set was such an amazing design that World of Warcraft used it a second time as the Tier 20 Raid Set in the Legion Expansion. This means you have multiple color options between the two tiers and it gets more detailed and intricate the higher difficulty you complete in the Tomb of Sargeras.
The only downside is the original Tier 6 transmog set comes from a variety of places depending on what pieces you need. You’ll need to trek all around Azeroth and beyond to the following raids: Black Temple, Hyjal, Drak’Tharon Keep and Serpent Shrine Cavern.
Flamewaker’s Battlegear (Mail) Transmog Set
If you’re hoping for some gear that doesn’t feature a battle-dress, this next set has you covered. Coming from Cataclysm’s Firelands raid, the Hunter Tier 12 transmog set is a perfect place to start. Hunter’s aesthetics are normally based on some kind of creature or foe and the Tier 12 is no different.
It’s based on the first boss of the Firelands and features all the cool signature aspects such as the eye patch, horn and fiery hide. All pieces drop in the Firelands and different difficulties will reward you with different color variants.
Judgement Armor (Plate) Transmog Set
The Paladin’s Tier 2 Judgement armor is easily one of the most iconic looks in its nearly 20-year history. So iconic that no other class can wear the gold and red of the original armor. However, there is an amazing black and purple recolor that drops from various bosses in the 5-man dungeons of the Burning Crusade.
You can collect all 8 pieces of the Judgement Armor (recolored) and be the dark antithesis to your guild's regal and majestic Paladin. This armor set is a must-have for anyone who can equip it.
Blackhand’s Battlegear (Plate) Transmog Set
For all the players out there who don’t care about the glamor of the holy knights and just want to be a non-stop whirlwind of destruction and pain, then there’s an armor set made just for you. Blackhand’s Battlegear is the Warrior Tier 17 from Warlords of Draenor.
The whole set comes from a single raid, except for the belt which drops in Highmaul. But the rest can be found in Blackrock Foundry. The best part is that this set comes in multiple color variations depending on which difficulty you run the raid in.
