Fans of the World of Warcraft Classic experience were treated to a few surprises at Blizzcon 2023. The next chapter of the Classic story will unfold just as fans expected it too with World of Warcraft Classic: Cataclysm, though some changes will be made from the original. Along with that, fans can look forward to discovering something new in Season of Discovery.
World of Warcraft Classic: Cataclysm
Deathwing has awoken and taken to the skies once more and players will soon be able to relive the story of his Cataclysm around Azeroth.
World of Warcraft Classic: Cataclysm is currently planned to launch in the first half of 2024, but players should expect a few changes from the original expansion. Player feedback was taken into account for this next arc of the Classic journey.
World of Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery
This new experience for World of Warcraft Classic, Season of Discovery will be released on November 30th. There isn’t a whole lot that is known about it and unlike most World of Warcraft content it will not be available on a public test realm.
Blizzard wants everyone in World of Warcraft Classic to experience Season of Discovery at the same time. But the content includes a search and content that will lead to Class Altering Abilities. The Developers teased the idea of a Tanking Warlock or a Mage Healer.
The Season of Discovery will launch with an initial level cap of 25, which will feature its own end game content. This end game will feature a brand new, 10-player Blackfathom Deeps Raid with new and reimagined bosses, mechanics and rewards.
