Couples are not permitted bathroom breaks for the first three hours. After three hours, they must go to the bathroom on a specially made toilets (while escorted by a referee) and keep their lips locked throughout.

The oldest couple are aged 74 and 72 years old, having been married for 50 years.

The winning couple receives a purse of 100,000 baht ($3,363.08) in cash and a diamond ring worth 200,000 baht ($6,726.24).
