The 2013 MLB season opens Sunday night with the Houston Astros making their American League debut against the Texas Rangers. If you're the type of person who likes to bet season win totals for recreational purposes, you may want to check out my list of plays below. You can find all the over/unders here.

INDIANS OVER 78.5: Strictly for Terry Francona taking over as manager. Plus, the additions of  outfielders Nick Swisher and Michael Bourn will help.

DIAMONDBACKS OVER 81.5: The additions of Martin Prado, Cody Ross and Brandon McCarthy should make them better than last year (when they won 81 games).

YANKEES OVER 84.5: The team is a hot mess right now, but that number is sooooo low. They have enough quality starting pitching to win 85 games, especially if Michael Pineda gives them anything when he returns in June.

CUBS UNDER 73.5: There isn't much talent on the roster (Jeff Samardzija is the ACE) and there is a good chance their clean-up hitter (Alfonso Soriano) gets traded at the All-Star break.

PIRATES UNDER 77.5: They've had 20 losing seasons in a row. If you go through the roster, there's not much there to make you think it won't be 21.

BLUE JAYS UNDER 88.5: Sorry, I'm not a believer despite them acquiring all of the Marlins. The Yankees and Red Sox aren't what they used to be, but the division will still be tough.

QB On QB Crime

Former Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb works for the NFL Network now, so he's getting paid to give his opinions. But it is rare to see an ex-player comment so honestly on one of his contemporaries.

Loyal Til The End

A Jayhawks fan who passed away Tuesday is being laid to rest today. However, his family has made sure the ceremony won't interfere with the Sweet Sixteen game against Michigan.
