ESPN's admirably robust live coverage of the French Open has kicked off every day this week at 5 a.m. ET on ESPN2.

First Take, the network's well-regarded two-hour weekday morning debate program, starts every morning at 10 a.m. on the same channel. The tennis, live sports being what they are, has on occasion bled into the talk show's timeslot.

Imagine the horror of the First Take's devoted (and punctual) fans when they sat down for breakfast this week only to see the ghastly terre battue of Roland Garros and not the pure ideological arena of Bristol, Conn.

Actually, your imagination isn't necessary. The backlash on Twitter wouldn't have been more choleric if Rafael Nadal himself had been force-feeding geese for fois gras on camera.
