Actor Who Played Scotty Smalls In "The Sandlot" Arrested For Headbutting A Cop
When a former child actor, someone who has been away from the game for awhile, appears in the news, it's rarely a positive story. And so the trend continues with Tom Guiry, best known as Scott "Scotty" Smalls from the timeless classic The Sandlot.

Guiry's brush with the law came after he was deemed too drunk to fly by an employee at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. When an airport cop told Guiry that he could either be arrested for public intoxication or go in the drunk tank and avoid charges. Guiry decided on a third option: Become angry and headbutt a cop. He was arrested and charged with felony assault on a police officer, then later released on $5,000 bail.
The cast of The Sandlot recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of the film's release. Guiry's airport episode will make for interesting small talk, should the cast reunite in another five years to once again goose their royalty payments.
