TV Nine for IX: The 99ers, 8:00p.m. (ESPN)
Without the women of the 1999 World Cup-winning US national soccer team, we might not have some of today's stars, who have become household names today. You could say we'd be Hope-less. *wink*. Ahem. Anyway. ESPN honors them.

After dropping their opening game of the tournament, the little fellas from Tennessee have put up 20 runs in the past two games. Their last game ended in the fourth inning after their opponent's coach, Uncle Jesse, invoked the mercy rule.

Hard Knocks, 10:00p.m. (HBO)
TMZ caught up with everyone's favorite almost-Bengal Larry Black. He is off the show, but confident he'll be back. If the internet is looking for a new darling, might I suggest rookie D-Lineman Terrence Stephens, who's got some pipes that would make Cheech and Chong jealous.
Deep bench
Tunnel of Fire, 8:00p.m (CMT)
CMT is doing a week of shows from the Sturgis Motorcycle Ralley. They're calling it Bike Week. Think of it as Shark Week for cars. The week opens with the aptly named Tunnel of Fire, in which daredevil Clint Ewing drives through a tunnel made of … you guessed it. All snark aside the image below is pretty compelling evidence that this is a quality watch (hint: that's a bike helmet in the middle of the frame.
