Yup, it's real, and it's spectacular. With November here, we figured there's no better way to celebrate this month of mustache growth than with the champion, Germany’s Karl-Heinz Hille. The German is featured in the 2014 Guinness World Records book for most wins at the World Beard and Mustache Championships, having won eight championships from 1999 to 2011 (look out, Bill Russell). In honor of Movember, Karl Heinz-Hille and whisker lovers everywhere, I compiled a few other memorable mustaches in the gallery above.
Cardinal > Duck
Stanford topped Oregon by a score of 26-20 last night, proving the SI Cover jinx is alive and well. The highlights of the night were this Cardinal fan's amazing sign and the Stanford players dressing like nerds in the postgame press conference. After all, no one's gonna really be free until nerd persecution ends.
Two Tweets and a Text
Patriots receiver LaQuan Williamsturned to Chad Ochocinco for advice in learning New England's playbook, which if you followed New England during the 2011 season, is the funniest thing ever. ESPN's Samantha Pondervaliantly rushed to her husband's defense after he was mocked (quite well, I must say) by the Faux John Madden Twitter account. Red Sox infielder Dustin Pedroia credits a text from teammate Jacoby Ellsbury as the reason for playing last season with a badly injured thumb instead of having surgery.

SI Vault Photo of the Day
Ken Griffey Jr. :: V.J. Lovero/SI
Ken Griffey Jr. started an Instagram account and is already already poking fun at himself and his late '80s hair. As the keeper of the SI Vault, I wasn't going to miss an opportunity to post this 1988 gem of Griffey on a car phone while playing for the Class-A San Bernardino Spirit.
In Uniform News
Here's a collection of the 10 best alternate and 25 most patriotic college football jerseys. I'll stick by my statement from Tuesday: The Bakersfield Condors Gettysburg Address jerseys are the best uniforms ever. End of story.
Odds and Ends
Mrs. Tom Bradywore this outfit to last night's Innovator of the Year Awards in NYC ... NBA players will wear jerseys with sleeves when they play on Christmas Day ... Dwight Howard played chase with the Lakers during last night's game to avoid an intentional foul ... Looking forward to reading this Melissa Joan Hart book about all the famous guys she used to hook up with.
Brutus Beefcake Video Of The Day
The Barber stormed Toronto's City Hall yesterday (with his trademark giant scissors) to offer Mayor Rob Ford an intervention. Seriously.

Detroit's Pavel Datsyuk. Wow.
