Yesterday, we discussed Jack Burkman, a D.C. lobbyist who, apparently motivated by Michael Sam's coming out, began working on legislation to ban gay players from NFL. Burkman said of the bill, "Imagine your son being forced to shower with a gay man. That’s a horrifying prospect for every mom in the country. What in the world has this nation come to?"

Today Michael Sam responded:
