If you're a baseball fan, you've like seen the 1989 comedy Major League, which depicts the struggles of a fictionalized Cleveland Indians team.

One of the main characters in the cult classic is pitcher Rick 'Wild Thing' Vaughn (played by Charlie Sheen), who's known for wearing his famed plastic, black horn-rimmed glasses.

Following Vaughn's lead is Louisiana Lafayette junior softball pitcher Christina Hamilton, who wears nearly identical frames when on the mound. Unlike Sheen's character, Hamilton's glasses are void of any lenses -- though that actually happened by mistake.

During ULL’s super regional game with Arizona, Hamilton explained that she wore the glasses with lenses. However, one accidentally popped out, so she removed the other and the look stuck.

The glasses have become so popular fans now show up to games wearing the frames to support Hamilton and her Ragin' Cajuns, who have emerged as one of the premier NCAA softball teams in the country.
