Let's hope somebody buys Philadelphia Phillies beer vendor Earl Chaney a brew. He certainly deserves it after Saturday's performance.
The unlikeliest of standing ovations occurred during a Carlos Ruiz at-bat in the sixth inning as a section down the right-field line saluted Chaney after he hauled in a foul ball using his standard blue ballpark cooler.
"I didn't mean to do it at all," Chaney told Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia. "I was trying to get out of the way, and it was just there."
Before the night's out, let's raise a pint for Mr. Chaney and his great glove, er cooler, work. What you got, Puig?
