On Friday, Lord Stanley returned to Southern California for the second time in three years thanks to the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers.
Not shockingly, the team went to a bar afterward to celebrate with the trophy. So what did they do? Fill it with beer? Eat cake out of it? Eh, close. Alec Martinez, who scored the cup-winning goal, decided to pour bags of regular, peanut butter, and peanut M&M's into the top of the trophy. (Fun fact: The Kings actually brought the trophy to the same North End Bar & Grill in Hermosa Beach after winning the Stanley Cup in 2012.)
Finally, we know what victory tastes like: chocolate.
