MLB All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game Rosters Unveiled
The Celebrity Softball game during All-Star weekend is a chance to see celebrities mingle with retired ballplayers and athletes from other sports. It’s one big beautiful mess.
It’s a great time, if you like seeing Fat Joe try to homer off an underhanded Rollie Fingers toss, with TV hottie Melanie Iglesias running the bases or attempting to throw the ball to first base.

They also try to have a local flavor to the game, so with this year’s event being held in Minneapolis, MLB invited some star athletes from the city to play — Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, T-Wolves (for now) forward Kevin Love, Zach Parise of the Minnesota Wild and Lynx forward Maya Moore.
The list of MLB Legends includes: Rickey Henderson, Andre Dawson, Rollie Fingers, Mike Piazza, Jack Morris, Fred Lynn, Ozzie Smith, John Smoltz, and Jim Thome. Morris was a World Series hero for the Twins in 1991, while Thome hit 37 homers for the club in 1 1/2 seasons (2010-11).
The celebrities include: comedian Rob Riggle, rapper Nelly, softball legend Jennie Finch and Bravo TV’s Andy Cohen.
