Evan Turner Runs Out Of Gas

Evan Turner :: @pjhill13/Instagram

It's been a rough few months for Pacers guard Evan Turner. He was traded from the Sixers to the Pacers in hopes that he could prop up a low-scoring bench, but instead was labeled as selfish and received seven DNP-CD (did not play-coach's decision) in the playoffs. But yesterday was the low point as his Ferrari ran out of gas on a freeway and he had to call his old teammate P.J. Hill to come pick him up. Turner wasn't the only NBA player with car problems. Carlos Boozer checked out the new Lamborghini Aventador while visited a shop in Miami and discovered that 6-foot-9 men aren't made for Lamborghinis.

Things Look A Little Different Here

I know what you're thinking: This doesn't look like the Hot Clicks you've come to know and love. Fear not. It's just a slight change in appearance and looks better in my opinion. SI.com has undergone an entire redesign that is more mobile-friendly and a better user experience overall. Plus you get to see my face every morning. La vie est belle!

Nobody Likes A-Rod, Part 352

Alex Rodriguez has made a lot of enemies over the past couple years and the trend continues, this time in his luxurious Central Park apartment. The owners of the building want him out because of all the negative press he brings as well as his inclusion in a book about the apartment building (which alleges all the hookers A-Rod would bring to his pad).

Don't Take Latrell Sprewell's Photo

I thoroughly enjoyed this little tale by Ryan Phillips of the Rumors and Rants blog. He was out in Milwaukee last night and happened to see Latrell Sprewell at a bar. He took Sprewell's photo to text a friend. That's when things got interesting.

Andy Murray: Dog Savior

Andy Murray was on his way to the All England Club to practice for Wimbledon when he came across a runaway labradoodle scurrying across the road. Murray coaxed the dog into his car, drove to a nearby dog park and called the owners, who were happy to retrieve their wandering pup. It's a busy week for Murray, who, in addition to rescuing dogs, guest-edited The Beano comic book in a tennis-themed issue.

Cubs pitcher Jeff Smardzija succuessfully broke a bat over his knee. Johnny Cueto is jealous ... A Massachusetts woman received a call from police after a neighbor complained that her World Cup cheering was interfering with his NASCAR viewing ... The Queen of Belgium congratulated the wrong player for scoring the winning goal against Russia ... Dwight Howard treated some Houston residents to an impromptu game of laser tag ... Outspoken tennis star Ernests Gulbis went on a rant about vampires during a press conference, which confused the reporter who asked him about the umpires ... Notre Dame has taken aim at Florida State, at least in the t-shirt department ... The 76ers have added a secondary logo for next season, featuring a dribbling Benjamin Franklin ...
