The record is the latest entry into the Guinness book for the team, which has already taken the hotly-contested titles for Most People Wearing Cowboy Hats, Most People Wearing Fleece Blankets, and Most People Wearing Wigs.

To make the record official, the fans had to keep the Santa hats on for a full five minutes, just in case anyone was worried there were not proper rules and regulations in place for breaking headwear records.
