Fugitive arrested Washington Redskins

Jake Close simply answered a question in his school newspaper, the Bloomsburg (PA) Press Enterprise, about the Washington Redskins' nickname.

Less than a week later, Close was arrested by campus police, JimRomenesko.com reported Monday.

The Press Enterprise reported that Close was wanted by Ithaca police for jumping bail several years ago in a case related to drugs and drunk driving. A member of the campus police saw Close's picture and comment -- a joke people have been making for years) -- in the "Your Opinion" column, and used it to track him down.

According to CBSSports.com, Close is now in Colombia County Prison on $25,000 bail awaiting extradition to New York.
