For all those times you’ve seen the sideline of a football game and wished you could ride the camera truck meandering up and down the sideline, Samsung has done you one better.

As part of a promotional event, Australia’s 2014 Castrol Edge Rugby Championship includes “SlideLiner” seating, a four-person roller-coaster-style couch mounted on a 262-foot track alongside the pitch that travels with the play.

Fans can win a chance to experience Australian rugby at speeds up to 12 miles/hour in Sydney’s ANZ Stadium on Aug. 16 as the nation’s Qantas Wallabies take on New Zealand’s All Blacks.

“Samsung created the SlideLiner as a different way for passionate rugby fans to experience the game live from the side of the field,” says ArnoLenior, Samsung chief marketing officer.

Those fans fortunate enough to get strapped in to roller-coaster-style seats can also use Samsung technology to share images of their moving experience on social media, all part of the company’s sponsorship with the Wallabies.

About now we’re all wishing Samsung Australia had a similar sponsorship with our favorite NFL team. Sliding seats in the States? Maybe now it’s only a matter of time.
