Washington Nationals mascot screech is terrified when a foul ball comes his way.
Washington Nationals mascot Screech almost had a heart attack after a pop foul landed near him in the fourth inning of the team's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
While it would seem to be a standard job hazard for a MLB mascot to be near baseballs, one must remember that bald eagles are an endangered species, so they need to be extra cautious of their health. So maybe the announcers should cut him a little slack.
