The Patriots are in Richmond, Virginia, this week holding joint practices with the Redskins ahead of their preseason opener Thursday. One Richmond-area Arby's has a special surprise for Pats head coach Bill Belichick.
The owner of this particular Arby's franchise has made a habit out of dedicating parking spaces to NFL figures. First it was RGIII. Then it was LaVar Arrington.
Belichick's time as head coach of the Jets was short-lived. After one day on the job, he quit, and his letter of resignation was accordingly brief: "I resign as HC of the NYJ." And of course the binoculars the sign refer to the "Spygate" scandal. Of course, the cryptic nature of the sign serves another purpose as well: circumventing the NFL's trademarks.
