Tuesday, 2K Sports unveiled the songlist to its upcoming NBA 2K15 game and it’s looking like the most diverse, retro soundtrack in the game’s history, thanks to Pharrell Williams.

Last year’s soundtrack -- selected by LeBron James -- focused on at-the-time pop hits like Robin Thicke’s "Blurred Lines," Daft Punk’s "Get Lucky" and Macklemore’s "Thrift Shop," Williams’ selection offers a wider, more timeless sound.

For example, No Doubt's "Spiderwebs" off 1995's critically acclaimed album Tragic Kingdom, is considered a modern day rock classic. Lauryn Hill’s "Doo Wop (That Thing)" off the album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, widely considered as one of the greatest R&B records ever. Hip hop pioneers such as Public Enemy and A Tribe Called Quest share a listing with guitar-drive indie rock hit from The Strokes and Ratatat. 

When Williams was announced to be 2K15’s curator, some worried the soundtrack would be filled with his own songs, including the good-but-overplayed "Happy." Instead, Williams only used three of his lesser-known titles, like "Hunter" instead of over-exposed radio hits.
