Here's what the world's largest beach ball looks like
The seaside town of Blackpool now sports an 880-pound beach ball with a diameter of 59 feet -- a new Guinness World Record.
The seaside town of Blackpool currently features a tourist attraction that is sure to delight any giants or Ents on summer vacation: a Guinness World Record-breaking 880-pound beach ball.
The ball, which has a diameter of 59 feet, is part of a publicity stunt called Visit Blackpool. According to the Daily Mail, it is capable of holding 3,766,313 pints of water, or almost 60,000 standard beach balls.
I'm not sure anyone is going to be playing with this thing, but if there's ever a live-action remake of James and the Giant Peach, they can at least use the ball as a stand-in.
