The Chicago Cubs were awarded a win over the San Francisco Giants after their grounds crew caused a four-and-a-half hour delay because they could not get the tarp onto the field in a timely manner.

The storm lasted less than 20 minutes, but the rain came down so hard it quickly flooded the field, leaving it unplayable even after hours of work by the crew.

Since the situation did not meet any of the criteria for a suspended game, the Cubs were awarded a 2-0 win, much to the disappointment of the Giants and their announcers.
