Lions DE Ziggy Ansah offers to donate a trombone to a homeless man

A homeless man in Detroit was beaten and robbed in August, but thanks to Lions defensive end Ziggy Ansah, the man may soon be the owner of a brand new trombone after the thugs made off with the one he owned that had been taken from him during the incident.

A homeless man in Detroit named Toney High, who was known who was known in downtown Detroit for playing his instrument outside local events, including Lions games, was beaten and robbed in August. But thanks to Lions defensive end Ziggy Ansah, the man may soon be the owner of a brand new trombone after the thieves made off with the one he owned. 

In a video report from WXYZ Detroit, Ansah's message to high High was that "we are going to get you back your instrument, you're going to be able to play for other people who will come around and listen to you."  The 25-year defensive end not only offered to get him a new trombone, he also invited him to sit in on a Lions practice and "play a little something something for us," as well as offering him two free tickets to the Lions' Week 3 game against the Packers. 

After a week of terrible sports news, High's reaction to Ansah's kindness sums up this much-needed piece of uplifting news: "That makes me smile."
