The Miami Herald reports that the damage has lead to the school moving an upcoming volleyball match from its arena to the school rec center, and the floor will be covered by a portable court for the basketball season, at which point the palm tree-covered hardwood will be replaced.
The Herald says the damage likely came from weights used in the RAID event which were dropped on areas without protective mats.
