An unruly fan took a shot at a sensitive area on the Baltimore Orioles mascot, but the bird quickly got retribution by tossing the man to the ground in a victory for mascots throughout the land.

An unruly fan took a shot at a sensitive area on the Baltimore Orioles' mascot, but the bird quickly got retribution by tossing the man to the ground in a victory for mascots throughout the land.

The video does not provide any context for the attack, although it seems the "jerk attacks mascot" is pretty much all the context one really needs for this video.

Luckily for The Oriole Bird, it seems the costume provided sufficient padding to stop too much damage from being done. Unluckily, it is probably not the last time this will happen to him.

A "tipsy" Red Sox fan has been arrested after allegedly choking the Tampa Bay Rays mascot during Tuesday's Red Sox-Rays game in St. Petersburg, according to Boston.com. The Rays employee who portrays "Raymond" in costume, did not press charges for battery. Police charged the fan with disorderly intoxication in a public place, according to the report.
