Baseball season might be coming to a close, but the wheels of journalism never stop turning. So even though today's food is presented by a team that's done for the year, there's no reason we can't take a serious, investigative look at one of their confectionary creations.

WHAT IS THIS WITCHCRAFT: The Hammer

WHO HATH WROUGHT THIS MONSTROSITY?: Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves.

WHAT COMPRISES SUCH A THING?: A fried-chicken sandwich with waffles for bread, topped with apple-smoked bacon, onions, pepper-jack cheese, and pecan maple mayonnaise.

I WANT TO EAT THAT BUT I DON'T LIVE IN ATLANTA: Never fear, Twitter user Tony Notarianni has a recipe for you:

HOW MANY CALORIES WE TALKIN'?: 860

HOW MANY SALADS COULD I EAT FOR THAT MANY CALORIES? You could eat 6 Premium Southwest Salads from McDonalds.

BUT WOULD THAT MAKE ME HAPPY?  No.

WHAT IF I’M STILL HUNGRY?:1. You should see a doctor.  2. Turner Field is also home to the flash-fried Dixie Dog, so you can stuff that in your face, too.
