Georgia Tech will begin accepting Bitcoin as payment for concessions

Georgia Tech will be the first college to accept bitcoins as payment at concession stands in school stadiums.
The crypto-currency is gaining more and more of a foothold throughout the world, and its parent company, BitPay, is even sponsoring a postseason game this year between the ACC and American Athletic Conference with the Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl.
Could the Yellow Jackets' decision be a clever ploy to make its 4-0 football team a more attractive pick for the Dec. 26 bowl game, or is the school just trying to remain on the cutting edge of hot dog payment science?
