Federer started buying pizzas for the kids at the end of the tournament in his hometown 11 years ago and has made it an annual tradition. The six-time Basel Open winner said the party was inspired by his time as a ball boy at the facility where the event is held.

"That’s how it all started with me. I would ride my bike from home – about five to 10 minutes away – and I was a ballboy here all day long and would go back home and do it again the next day. So I always have a tradition where everyone has a pizza with me after the final. It’s been 11 times now. I do it win or lose, regardless.”

Federer won this year's final 6-2, 6-2 over David Goffin after finishing in second the previous two years.
