The Seahawks' live mascot, Taima the Hawk, has been leading the team out of the tunnel during home games since 2007.
Despite Taima's veteran status, he took a break from his usual pregame routine to fly around the stadium and land on the head of a fan.
Taima, which means "thunder," was named by Seahawks fans. The hawk was hatched in 2005, and has an approximate 4.5 foot wingspan.
The story did have a happy ending as Taima was reportedly returned to his handler.
