Michael Sam named one of GQ's Men of the Year
GQ magazine has put Michael Sam on the cover of its annual "Men of the Year" issue.
Michael Sam is one of six people featured on the cover of GQ's annual "Men of the Year" issue.
Sam became the first openly gay man to be drafted into the NFL when he was selected in the seventh round by the St. Louis Rams. The co-SEC defensive player of the year was cut by St. Louis before the season began. He joined the Cowboys practice squad and stayed there until late October, when he was cut to clear a roster spot.
In addition to the Sam cover, GQ will release five other editions of the magazine, featuring Chris Pratt, Steve Carell, Dave Chappelle, Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort.
