San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich says he doesn't watch film
Gregg Popovich doesn't see much use in watching film.
When San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich actually opens up, he's a fascinating person to listen to. Basketball fans already know this, but others who only know the stern coach renowned for giving little more than yes/no answers during in-game interviews might not.
In the video below (skip ahead to the 4:17 mark) from CLNS Radio in Boston, where the Spurs beat the Celtics 111-89 on Sunday, Pop shares his philosophies on not watching film — as well as how he "knows" Celtics guard Rajon Rondo got more handsome from last year.
Sunday's game was Popovich's first back after missing two games due to an undisclosed, minor medical procedure. The Spurs are 12-4, fifth in the Western Conference.
