Last winter, Baseball Reference showcased a little Christmas cheer by publishing a player page for Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and this year it has gone even further by turning all nine of Santa's flying entourage into a full team, the North Pole Reindeer.

Each of the arctic caribou has its own page with full stats on the site, meaning you can now waste a whole day marveling at fictional numbers for animals, which is a pretty good way to get in the holiday spirit.

By the looks of the numbers, the North Pole Reindeer are a pretty tough team to beat, with ace pitcher Comet striking out 341 batters in 299 innings pitched, first baseman Blitzen absolutely mashing in 2014 for 40 home runs while maintaining a .313 batting average.

Each page is filled with hidden holiday nuggets, like Donner being traded for three French hens, two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree, so head over and give them a look, and wish your team had enough prospects to trade for CF Dasher.
