"Those who stay will be champions" is a Michigan football mantra that dates back to Bo Schembechler's first season as coach, promising those who committed themselves to the program that they would leave the school as winners.

Both Brady and Harbaugh played quarterback for the school, and Harbaugh was coached by the legendary Schembechler.
