Over $1 million donated to pediatric cancer research in Lauren Hill's name

Lauren Hill, the college basketball player battling terminal brain cancer, has raised over $1 million dollars in donations toward pediatric cancer research.
Hill, a freshman at Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, has an inoperable form of brain cancer called DIPG. Doctors told her this fall she would likely not live past December. Her school then successfully petitioned the NCAA to move her team's first game to an earlier date so that she would be allowed to play. Hill played in two games before she ended her playing career earlier this month.
