Chris Christie says Philadelphia fans are 'the worst in America'
Chris Christie's sports fandom continues to pose problems for the New Jersey governor.
According to Michael Barbaro of The New York Times, Christie was recently overheard saying, "These Philadelphia fans, they are the worst in America."
Most people think of New Jersey as New York's little brother, but it lies across the Delaware River from Philadelphia, too. Plenty of voters responsible for Christie's reelection root for the Eagles. Pennsylvania is also an important battleground state in presidential elections, and Christie is said to have his eyes set on a 2016 run.

Barbaro reports, however, that Christie did not alienate every rival fan. He went to a Giants game with Jerry Jones and was received much more cordially.
"I didn’t get booed," Christie said. "Giant fans waved, said hello, asked for autographs, didn’t give me a hard time."
