Newly acquired Cavs SG J.R. Smith's motto: 'When in doubt, shoot the ball'
Newly acquired Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith is set to make his team debut on Wednesday against the Rockets following his Tuesday trade from the Knicks. Considering the quick turnaround from the trade announcement on Tuesday night to Smith's Cavs debut, the guard was asked how he'd play with Cleveland without knowing his new team's playbook.
"My motto is, 'When in doubt, shoot the ball,'" Smith said, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
Throughout his 11 NBA seasons, Smith is a career .424 shooter from the field.

Considering the former Knick likely has very little mastery over the playbook after roughly 24 hours as a member of the Cavs, it's likely he'll be "in doubt" fairly often on Wednesday night.
