Catcher Ryan Lavarnway released by four teams since late November

The offseason in major league baseball is usually a carousel of trades, releases, and re-assignments.
Just a few months after the end of the 2014 season, however, catcher Ryan Lavarnway likely wants off this ride.
Since late November, Lavarnway has been a part of and released by four different major league teams. According to Craig Calcaterra, Lavarnway was designated for assigment by the Red Sox at the end of November, claimed by the Dodgers in early December, designated for assignment by the Dodgers just a week later, claimed by the Chicago Cubs on Dec. 19, waived by the Cubs on Dec. 23, claimed by the Orioles upon being waived by Chicago, and then designated for assignment by Baltimore on Friday.

A 27-year-old with a career .201 batting average, a .249 on-base percentage and a .315 slugging percentage, Lavarnway will probably catch on with a team prior to spring training.
If his off-season movement continues apace, however, he might be too worn out to play.
