Nike made Cristiano Ronaldo cleats covered in real diamonds
Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo won the Ballon d'Or (French for "golden ball") as the world's top player on Monday. Nike marked the occasion by making Ronaldo some chaussures d'or (golden shoes).
Nike revealed a one-of-a-kind pair of cleats called the "Mercurial CR7 Rare Gold." The shoes also have a very luxurious special touch. The CR7 logo on the heel is covered in actual diamonds.
