Check out a scouting report on Larry Bird from 1984
It turns out Larry Bird was very good at basketball in 1984, according to a recently unearthed New York Knicks scouting report of the 1983-84 Boston Celtics.
Sean Grande, who is the radio play-by-play voice of the Celtics, dug this treasure up on Monday and it is endlessly entertaining.

The rest of that year's Celtics team were no slouches either, with Kevin McHale ("Excellent turnaround J"), Robert Parish ("Excellent Shot-Blecker"), Danny Ainge ("Outstanding quickness") and Cedric Maxwell ("Excellent low-post player") all getting glowing reviews from the Knicks scouts.
It seems all that advance work paid off a little, as the Knicks were able to split the season series with the Celtics 3-3. New York eventually fell to Boston in a seven-game series in the playoffs as the Celtics worked their way to yet another NBA title.
