Tom Brady's list of favorite athletes starts with Derek Jeter.

Tom Brady's favorite athletes probably aren't that different than those of any typical boy or girl in America. 

Asked who his favorite is at Tuesday's Super Bowl Media Day, Brady rattled off a short list of impressive athletes: Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, LeBron James.

But the first name Brady said? None other than recently retired Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter.

While it makes sense that three-time Super Bowl winner Brady would like five-time World Series champion Jeter, Brady apparently didn't get the memo of one of the first rules of Boston sports fandom.
