Thursday's P.M. Hot Clicks: Pete Carroll Still Trying to Explain
Hey everyone! Pete Blackburn here with you for this afternoon's edition of Hot Clicks while Andy continues to work on the Swimsuit Issue. Feel free to give a follow on Twitter (@PeteBlackburn) so I can pretend like I have friends!
Pete Carroll Opens Up
Pete Carroll sat down with Matt Lauer for an interview that aired on the Today Show this morning, which you can watch here. The Seahawks coach opened up about the decision to pass the ball on the goal line instead of handing it off to Marshawn Lynch, a decision that wound up costing his team the Super Bowl. Carroll said it was "the worst result of a call ever" and that he's had some sleepless nights as a result -- not all that surprising -- but also that he'll use the heartbreak to fuel him in the future.
Drama in Winnipeg
Reports surfaced earlier this week that Evander Kane, the Winnipeg Jets star who has often been on the receiving end of some unfair criticism, was benched for a game because he violated the team's dress code. Today, however, news broke that he skipped the game entirely after some teammates threw his clothes in the shower that morning. Now the team is reportedly listening to trade offers for the 23-year old. Sheesh.
Close Call
A snowboarder got caught in an avalanche while shredding down a mountain in Romania this week. He was wearing a GoPro on his helmet and the footage is terrifying.
Lovely Lady of the Day
It's Throwback Thursday and Swimsuit Issue excitement is heating up, so I figured that today would be as good a day as any to feature Brooklyn Decker, one of my favorite models to ever appear in the magazine. Decker, who's married to former tennis star Andy Roddick, graced the Swimsuit cover in 2010. (Click here for full-sized gallery.)
Straight To The Spam Folder
A Seahawks fan wrote the most pathetic open letter to the Patriots complaining about their antics during Wednesday's Super Bowl parade.
