There were plenty of impressive goals scored in Scottish professional soccer in January, but the choice for Goal of the Month should be an obvious one.

Jay Beatty, an 11-year-old boy with Down Syndrome, has become friends with the players from Celtic and something of a celebrity around the league. On Jan. 19, he was invited to attend Celtic's game at Hamilton and drove home a goal from the penalty spot at halftime.

Jay's goal is one of 10 nominees for Goal of the Month in the Scottish Professional Football League. Voting is being conducted in the comments of the YouTube video and Jay is running away with it.
