The Boston College baseball team showed its support for former New Orleans Saints safety Steve Gleason and his fight with ALS by wearing "No White Flags" T-shirts on Thursday night.

"No White Flags" is the motto of Gleason's charity Team Gleason, which raises money to fund research for ALS.

Chargers, Raiders propose shared stadium in Carson, CA

The Boston College community has been hit particularly hard by the degenerative disease, with longtime sports information director Dick Kelley losing his battle with ALS last year. Former Boston College director of baseball operations and ALS patient Pete Frates started the fundraising sensation "Ice Bucket Challenge" in order to raise awareness about the disease.
