King James (Harden) Beats Cavs
In one of the best NBA games so far this season, James Harden led the Rockets to an overtime victory over the Cavs, 105-103. The game will be remembered for Harden's kick to LeBron James' groin, which he claimed was accidental (though others disagree). Also of note: Harden wore a ridiculous pilgrim hat to the game ... James and Patrick Beverley nearly brawled ... ESPN inadvertently listed the Rockets' record as 40-1 ... the Rockets went in troll mode after the game by calling Harden "King James" ... LeBron blew the game by missing two late free throws and tried to take blame in an Instagram post afterwards. People mocked him.
R.I.P. Anthony Mason
So sad to hear about the passing of Anthony Mason, who remains one of New York's most famous basketball players. The Knicks paid respect with a moment of silence while NBA players, past and present, took to Twitter to offer condolences. Chris Rock had a tweet that brought a smile to my face. Mason will also be remembered for his memorable hair carvings, which he discussed during an appearance on SINow early last year.
Scenes From Hulk Hogan Night at MSG
Hulk Hogan was feted during the WWE's show at Madison Square Garden on Friday. Jimmy "Mouth of the South Hart, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Ric Flair and Triple H all offered tributes to the legendary pro wrestler. The best part, however, came at the end when Hogan got his own banner in the MSG rafters.
Lovely Lady of the Day
Shenae Gillespie attended 'Thriller Live' at the Sydney Lyric Theater in Australia. We appreciate that type of culture at Hot Clicks and reward Shenae with LLOD honors (click here for full-size gallery).
Rookie of the Year
Congratulations to Kelly Rohrbach on winning the SI Swimsuit Rookie of the Year contest. And as luck would have it, she looks even better in GIF form.
Yanks Fan Foes For a Stroll
Good luck to Yankees fan Richard J. Albero, a former naval officer and retired teacher who today begins his walk from home plate at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa to home plate at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. The walk is to honor his nephew, Gary, who died in the Sept. 11 attacks, and will raise $25,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project as a nod to Gary, who is described as a charitable man who always put in the effort to raise awareness and funds for causes that were close to him.
