Jordyn Leopold got her wish on Monday when her father, NHL defenseman Jordan Leopold, was traded to the Minnesota Wild. On Tuesday she spoke about the letter she wrote asking the Blue Jackets to send her dad back home.

Jordyn Leopold got her wish on Monday when her father, NHL defenseman Jordan Leopold, was traded to the Minnesota Wild. On Tuesday she spoke about the letter she wrote asking the Wild to bring her dad back home. 

Jordyn wrote a letter to the Wild asking them to trade for her dad so he could be with his family in Minnesota. She never actually sent the letter, but it still worked. Jordyn's mom shared the letter on Facebook and it started making its way around the internet after Leopold was traded.

"I thought it might work to get him home," Jordyn said.

So did she think her letter was the key factor when she heard her dad was coming to Minnesota? "No, I didn't really think so," Jordyn said. "But it could have."

On Sunday, Jordyn will make the "let's play hockey" call before the Wild's game against the Avalanche, so this has been a pretty good week for her.
