NBA analyst and boy band fan Jeff Van Gundy called Wednesday night's Thunder-Spurs game and drew a comparison between the Thunder without Kevin Durant, and Zayn Malik leaving One Direction.

According to Van Gundy, One Direction will be able to persevere through the loss of Zayn, much like the Thunder have been able to work their way to an eight seed  in the playoffs despite Kevin Durant missing a large portion of the season.

His fellow announcer Dave Pasch handles the whole tangent with aplomb, which makes sense considering he spends the college basketball season sitting next to non sequitur king Bill Walton.

Also if Zayn is Durant, that means Russell Westbrook is Harry, which would be a pretty controversial stance to take. Serge Ibaka is definitely Niall though.
