I wouldn't exactly say I feel bad for Jay Cutler -- he isn't the most likable athlete in the world -- but I did feel a pang of sympathy for him. During an auction late last month, Cutler donated an autographed football to a charity auction sponsored by the Anti-Cruelty Society. Unfortunately, not one person bid on the ball and it went unsold until last week, when an anonymous donor placed a $100 bid on the ball.
Final Four Round-Up
Duke and Wisconsin will face off tonight for the National Championship. Seth Davis has a preview. Now on to the fun stuff: This Badgers fan carved a "W" into his chest hair ... Duke's Jahlil Okafor has enormous hands as well as a dad and uncle with whom I want to party ... Andrew Harrison apologized to Frank Kaminsky about his postgame comments ... This Kentucky fan was very sad about the Wildcats loss ... These Wisconsin fans were very happy about the Badgers victory ... It hasn't been the best tournament for Charles Barkley ... Kentucky and Wisconsin had a pregame dance-off on Twitter ... Props to this Michigan State fan for his marriage proposal to CBS' Allie LaForce. He has good taste in sideline reporters ... Tom Crean and his cell phone were very busy during the games ... Lastly, say what you want about John Caliparibut it's hard to be negative about this story.
Meet Derek Cheetah, Jose Catseco and Other Paw-Star Game Participants
The Hallmark Channel is getting into the baseball spirit by putting a bunch of kittens on the diamond for the first annual Paw Star Game. This must-see sporting event airs July 12 with announcers John Sterling and Mary Carillo and host Beth Stern. It's early but I like Darryl Pawberry for MVP.
