San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich and Houston star James Harden compared beards Wednesday night in the early minutes of the Rockets-Spurs game at AT&T Center. San Antonio defeated Houston 110-98.

The announcers do have a point. Harden's beard game is strong. So strong, in fact, that it graced Sports Illustrated's cover in February.  

Popovich and the Spurs have grown playoff beards before, and it could soon be time for the team to grow them out again.

With the postseason beginning in just 10 days, the Spurs currently own the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 53-26 record.
